Pour black sand along the edge between the two cardboard trays. Note that one side of each of the cardboard trays has been cut out, so that the bottom of one tray is right next to the bottom of the other tray. One of the trays (the upper one) is attached to the table using adhesive tape. The sand should be about as thick as a normal wooden pencil is wide, around 1 cm or so.
