Because the completed model is so light, it is a good idea to clamp it to a tabletop so that the elastic fabric can be stretched without moving the whole model across the table. Another perfectly fine solution is to have someone hold the end of the model where the fabric is attached to the tape. The ruler in the photo is placed directly over the taped edge of the fabric, and helps keep the fabric attached to the tape.
