Dr. Cronin's work in geoscience in recent years involves five major activities:

• Serving as the Richard H. Jahns Lecturer in Engineering Geoscience for 2022-23
• Editing the 11th, 12th, and 13th editions of the AGI/NAGT Laboratory Manual in Physical Geology
• Writing a primer on plate motion, with a group of amiable co-authors
• Working on issues of ethics in the geosciences, with the International Association for Promoting Geoethics and others.
• Working with graduate students to identify the ground-surface trace of selected seismogenic faults, using the Seismo-Lineament Analysis Method ( SLAM ) and other methods.
